Request: Get Lost in Seoul
By: Jordane

First few days in Seoul and a ton of "adventure" as you may call it has happened.
The first officially Seoul day, August 27, was a shopoping trip aimlessly wondering around the roads newar our university.
More updates on the first day along with photos and maybe a few video clips *hopes on actually having this work :)* shall be added up soon!

Today was actually well planned out, supposedly.
I was arranged to meet the guest house's owner at Hongik University but we couldn't contact him - Philippines SIM fail *sigh*
So, with no choice left and with an aching shoulder whilst taking our first ever subway ride to Hongik University, we decided to walk.
Walk, walk and walk but getting lost along the way.
A video clip of this adventure was taken by chesca and i'll be adding it up once i get to my dorm.
More on the today, we walked around and around while trying to figure out the pixelated map in Kat's cellphone. We took a LOT of turns and we ended up at guess where....
A NEIGHBORHOOD POLICE STATION.
First day in Hongdae and we already landed right smack in a police station.
Thank God the police was this super nice ahjussi but couldn't speak english at all (as he kept saying). He phoned a local who could speak english and i think if my comprehension was right, it turned out to be the owner of the guest house we're currently staying in! :)
Then of course we had a complementary ride to the guest house finding out that we just had to go straight after the first and probably only correct turn we made in that unforgettable and back breakable stroll.

Checked-in and walked to the station this time to go to Sinchon (Ewha-Sinchon-Hongik) and went to have lunch at Hyundai Department store. Top class area, it was more like a Rustan's Department Store as compared to your typical SM everything-you-need-is-here department stores.
LUNCH: Dokbokki (a full plate of it)
I was so stuffed, that was like the largest most Dokbokki-lish serving of rice cakes ever.
Soon after we left back to the guest house as Kat was sleepy from her flight.
After dropping Kat off, we decided to go around and rounded up at a Hybrid Outlet. Translation - its a factory outlets sale of foreign brands.
Super great timing as i forgot to bring a shirt for the second day.
American Apparel. A pink one with a big stenciled eagle. For just 15000 won = around 600 pesos. Kind of equal to those bargains in Greenhills i guess.

Went back to the guest house a bit after. I couldn't take it my feet were painful nearly blister-ing and my stomach was starting to ache (i overate all that Dokbokki!).
Then its a nice slumber time until 8PM - 4 hours nap yeah!
DINNER: Pizza School Deutsche Pizza.
Super Delishioso! Bite pulls just like those in Pizza Hut. Costs 9000won. Yummy!
Thinking about it I can see my lunch for tomorrow. We couldn't chuck down 8 slices of pizza.

That's it for now, will update more information on this post soon! :)

Weather: Sunny, humid but mostly rainy.
I should take a picture of this invention they have in Korea for umbrellas in the mall. :)

xoxo.

Question: What have I been busy with these days?

1. Vacation mode of course back home in Cebu!
2. Currently reading a paperback copy of Eat, Pray, Love. Hopefully i finish reading it before I resist the invitation of watching the movie! Hehehe. Wish me luck with this one!
3. E-mailing my dorm and a guest house in Korea for my stay while the graduate dorm won't be officially open.
4. Wondering if Korean clothes are really up for grabs by well, yours truly. (I am really trying to keep my hopes up on this)
5. Souvenirs up for grabs for the exchange program.
6. Checking up possible minors in the Ateneo de Manila University.
7. Everyday laptop-ing (officially a word in my dictionary) and browsing around the internet.
8. Reading articles regarding restaurants and cute cafes around Seoul.

What else?

I'm trying to get into better appearance for this educational trip. Stressing on the TYRING here. Gotta pull myself harder! Good luck Myself, Me, I, My.

Maybe learning steps to No Other will do or them new music videos out in the recent posts of Kpop in my blog. :)

Enjoy the weekdays guys!
